What you're welcome to do

What needs written permission

Trademark

"Fastpitch for Kids" and the site logo are trademarks of Fastpitch for Kids. Please don't use them in a way that suggests your product or service comes from or is endorsed by Fastpitch for Kids.

Not affiliated with any league

Fastpitch for Kids is an independent site. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by USA Softball, USSSA, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), or any league or team. Those names appear only to explain that rules differ between organizations.

Rules and safety

The cards are a learning aid, not an official rulebook. Rules differ between leagues and age groups, so your league's rules and your coach's instructions always come first. Softball is a physical sport. Players should follow their coach's safety guidance and wear proper equipment, including a batting helmet with a face mask.

No guarantee

We work to keep every card accurate, but the site is provided "as is," without any guarantee that each card is correct for every league or situation. Fastpitch for Kids is not responsible for decisions made or injuries that happen based on the site's content.

Gear sizes

The gear guides, size charts, and Gear Finder give general starting points gathered from common retailer and league guidance. Sizes vary between brands, and equipment rules vary between leagues. Always check the brand's own size chart and your league's rules before buying, and make sure safety gear fits properly. Fastpitch for Kids is not affiliated with any equipment brand or store.

Coaching and field guides

The coaching, field setup, and chalking guides are general guidance for volunteer rec league coaches. Your league's rules, your park's field policies, and your league's safety and training requirements always come first. Follow official guidance from your league, the CDC, and the National Weather Service for concussion, heat, and lightning safety, and call 911 in an emergency.

Privacy

This site has no accounts, no ads, and no sign-ups, and it doesn't ask for any personal information. Your card choices (which groups and levels you picked) and checklist checkmarks are saved only on your own device. The Gear Finder asks about a player's age, height, weight, position, and team type. Those answers are used only in your browser to show sizes. They are saved on your device so the checklist can show her sizes, and they appear in a share link only if you copy or share it, in the part of the link that browsers don't send to web servers. We never receive them. The site's font loads from Google Fonts, which means Google may receive basic technical information, like your IP address, when the page loads. The site host, Cloudflare, may also keep standard server logs.
